I am very grateful for having found Classical Five-Element Acupuncture.
Twenty-five years ago I became a patient of this marvelous healing system
and have used it for its ability to deal with acute physical syndromes,
deeper emotional and spiritual issues, and as preventive medicine. Now,
as a practitioner, I am continuously amazed at Five-Element Acupuncture’s
ability to change people’s lives for the better, bringing them
into more harmony with themselves and their environments. I have treated
headaches, neck and back pain, chemotherapy side effects, fatigue, Attention
Deficit Disorder, depression, and anxiety, among other imbalances, and
have been gratified to see people change and grow and move forward in
their lives.
My
spiritual life is important to me and I spend a part of each day in
prayer and meditation and in practice of T’ai Chi Chuan. I find
these help me to stay relaxed and focused as I balance my career, 25
years of marriage and a teenaged son. I love practicing acupuncture
and try to create a relaxed environment where the patient can feel well-cared
for. I work with people of all ages who want to improve their health
in Body, Mind and Spirit in order to lead richer, happier and more balanced
lives.
I was trained by Neil Gumenick at the Institute of Classical Five-Element
Acupuncture Inc. in Santa Monica, California and am now a part-time
instructor. In addition, I have taken many workshops with JR and Judy
Worsley, masters of this system of acupuncture. I am also a summa cum
laude graduate of Emperor’s College of Traditional Oriental Medicine
where I received the Degree of Master of Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture.
In addition, I have received a Diplomate of Acupuncture from the National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
I continue to take courses to advance my abilities on all levels.
I am pleased to work with other practitioners of similar orientation
at the Centre for Life. Please check their website for more information.
